π£ BeBOPP: Big Bend Precision Prevention
Optimizing HIV intervention implementation through identifying barriers and leverage points among youth in North Florida
π What Is BeBOPP?
BeBOPP (Big Bend Precision Prevention) is a youth- and community-engaged research study from Scale It Up β Florida and Florida State University. We're working to improve HIV prevention and care by partnering directly with those most impacted. If successful, this study will inform future research and increase the number of HIV tests administered among key populations in the Big Bend area. BeBOPP seeks to optimize HIV intervention implementation through integration of information leveraged from:
- Community-led Youth Learning Health Community (Y-LHC)
- OneFL + Data Trust
- Community engagement via Group Model Building
Weβre hosting a series of paid discussion groups with eligible participants to learn more about:
- Barriers to HIV testing and PrEP (pre-exposure prophylaxis)
- What helps young people access and stay in care
- How we can improve health outcomes in our communities
What will you expect to do during this study?
Complete a brief survey and participate in two Group Model Building (GMB) sessions over the course of six months to discuss issues within the HIV prevention and testing cascade to identify leverage points for improvement. Key factors for implementation strategies will be defined and tested using simulation modeling to test for feasibility and present proof of concept to create the greatest impact in HIV testing and prevention.
