Florida-based YAC forms own non-profit
FLASH, the Florida Adolescent/Young Adult Sexual Health Network, is youth-designed, youth-focused collective advancing health advocacy, education, and research initiatives, by and for young people of diverse sexualities and genders in Florida.
FLASH works to:
- Promote the inclusion of young people’s perspectives, their unique experiences, and their expertise on the needs of their own communities in public health planning and research.
- Partner with community organizations, local governments, public officials, youth advocacy movements, mutual aid networks, social innovation entrepreneurs, foundations, and others who share our commitment to elevating youth voices.
- Cultivate a community of practice, establishing youth-led design and adult allyship as the norm across Florida.
